How did SmartMember come about?
I started writing SmartMember Millennium for my church, Watford Community Church, in 1998,
after a request from the new pastor, Rev. Tim Roberts. This was a MS Access database written
for the PC. I then decided to produce it as a commercial product for other churches with a
successful launch in 2000.
The next step was to create a web-based online version, with new features, based on feedback
from customers, and so SmartMember Omicron was developed in response to that. This is a
new improved version of SmartMember Millennium. Now it can cater not just for churches but
for clubs & societies too.
Along with an upgrade in product, we have also changed our name from Liberator Enterprises to
Ocessa Group.
Do let me know if you have any suggestions for the database at tushar@ocessa.co.uk
Future upgrades will be developed according to clients’ requirements, and is this ongoing.
